WE NEED TO RE HOME OUR 5 YR OLD ROTT DUE TO OUR NEW LANDLORD. HE DOES NOT WANT HIS BREED HERE. THAT IS THE ONLY REASON HE IS ON HERE. HE IS 5 YRS OLD GREAT WITH KIDS AND OTHERS DOGS EXCEPT MALE DOGS. HE IS THE ALPHA DOG. HE WILL PLAY WITH THEM AT THE PARK AND DOG PARK BUT CAN NOT LIVE WITH THEM. HE IS HOUSEBROKEN NOT NEUTERED AND HAS A LONG TAIL. HE LIKES WALKS AND PLAYING FETCH AND LOVES CAR RIDES. HE ALSO KNOWS BASIC COMMANDS. HE IS A REAL GOOD BOY AND WOULD LIKE TO FIND AHOME THAT WILL LOVE HIM AND PAY ATTENTION TO HIM. HE IS NOT A OUTDOOR DOG HE LOVES TO BE INSIDE. RE-HOMING FEE IS $100 TO MAKE SURE HE GOES TO A GOOD HOME. MY LOSS YOUR GAIN HE IS WORTH A LOT MORE FOR HIS BREED. YOU ARE GETTING MORE THAN YOUR MONEY BACK HE IS A GREAT AND LOYAL FRIEND AND WILL NOT DO YOU WRONG.
“He is worth a lot more for his breed.” Sure, and that’s why the poster who’s so into money that he put nineteen dollar signs in the ad title is only asking $100. Because he could get way more for a middle-aged Rotty, but he simply chooses not to. Because every shelter isn’t already full of middle-aged Rotties who are there either because they have the hip and elbow issues typical of the breed at middle age and their owners didn’t want to pay, or because the owner didn’t train them properly, or because the owner moved somewhere that doesn’t allow the breed.
By the way, when I’m lucky enough to have a “great and loyal friend,” I usually try to pay them back with friendship and loyalty in return. Guess this guy’s definition of loyalty involves choosing to move somewhere that doesn’t allow Rottweilers and then selling his great friend for a hundred bucks on Craigslist.
