At least this “new breed” doesn’t have “doodle” in its name.

I have 5 adorable puppies they are Palmeranian/Chi mix that look just like miniature Germna Sheps/Huskies. They are just Adorable. They have their 1ST SET OF SHOTS/1ST VET CHECK/DWORMED. THEY ARE KENNEL TRAINED ALREADY AND WHEN YOU TELL THEM TO GET IN THEIR HOUSE THEY GET IN THEIR KENNEL. THEY ARE 2 MONTHS AND 1 WEEK OLD. THEY ARE VERY VERY SMART PLAYFULL THEY LOVE CATS AND KIDS. THEY WILL BE SMALL DOGS. I HAVE 4 MALES AND ONE FEMALE. YES I AM ASKING FOR $325 THEY ARE WELL WORTH IT. PLEASE CALL ME IF VERY INTERESTED. ENYONE IS MORE THAN WELCOME TO COME AND SEE THEM THEY ARE IRRESISTABLE BABIES THEY ARE ONE OF A KIND. THEY NEED A FOREVER HOME AND FAMILY TO TAKE CARE OF THEM. CALL ME AT 720 [redacted] THAN YOU AND GOD BLESS.

Hey, I know! I’ll find some random small dogs, breed a backyard litter of mutts, then find some larger breed they sort of look like and call them miniature versions of that larger breed. What could possibly go wrong?

The Alaskan Klee Kai (a unique breed intended as a miniature Husky) took over a decade of careful and sometimes controversial private breeding methods before puppies were released to the public. Even now, this miniature breed isn’t recognized by the American Kennel Club, more than 30 years after the first breeder began working with them.

Your backyard mutts are mutts. They are not a “new breed.” A new breed is rarely and for good reason established by one or more highly experienced breeders who wouldn’t dream of allowing a stranger to purchase a first generation pup. Congratulations on the very cute mutts. Please spay and neuter the parents, and perhaps yourself and your spouse for good measure.

Yeah, more like “new name for old mutt!” Besides, the BYBs already named this one, they call them “PomChis.” Which is just as much BS, but at least more accurate than “Mini German Shepherd.”

Just looked up PomChis – definitely not cool. But also definitely not Mini German Shepherds. lol

I am so sick of seeing “designer dogs”. The name alone gives off the impression ‘do not think of as a living thing’. Everyone thinks they can just breed any mutts together and if you can come up with some stupid, not-very-creative name, that makes it a real breed. People do not realize how much time and studying it took to create the pure breds we have today, they were bred for health, personality, and a purpose. Most of these “new breeds” are types of dogs that should not be mixed for behavoral reasons and such. And then have the nerve to charge you more than some pure bred dogs are worth…ugh…
